Florence & Fred pop-up shop

For a few days last week, Tesco in-house fashion brand Florence & Fred hosted a pop-up shop in Covent Garden's Piazza. A few of us headed down after work on Friday to see what all the fuss was about....

There were no tills in the store and no rails full of multiple garments - instead, you picked a single item & took it to one of the lovely F&F ladies who found you your size from the back room; you then tried it on for size and, if you wanted to purchase, you could order for home delivery from one of the stores many iPads.

We were spoilt with F&F goody bags - a large cotton tote filled with useful goodies - Dove shower gel, Pretty Polly hosiery & other treats, plus some new Kleenex disposable facial cloths - perfect for cleansing on the move.

The decor of the shop fitted in perfectly with the surrounding Piazza, and clothes were displayed in a way which made me never want to trawl through a rail for a size 10 ever again.

Downstairs, there was a Vintage Cosmetics Company dressing table complete with a selection of their wares & one of their representatives fitting eyelashes (usually retailing at £6) for free - perfect timing, seeing as we were all heading out for drinks afterwards.

Unfortunately, they were only there for a short time - but head over to their online store where you can order all the things on show at their pop-up as well as all of their other offerings - my personal favourites -the Limited Edition Chiffon maxi skirt available in black, white blue; a steal at just £22, and floaty 100% poly dipped-hem skirts for £14.
